Dear Speaker Johnson,

I am a supporter of No Labels, a national movement of Americans who believe in commonsense leadership and responsible governance.

Last night, the Senate advanced a bipartisan bill to end the government shutdown. It funds the government through January and guarantees a vote on the expiring Affordable Care Act premium tax credits by the second week of December.

Now the next step is yours. I urge you to bring this bill to the House floor, or to introduce legislation with the same terms agreed to by Senate Majority Leader John Thune.

This bill is not perfect, but it does what matters most: it reopens the government.

Because of this shutdown, food assistance is in jeopardy for 42 million Americans who rely on SNAP. Most federal workers have now missed two paychecks. Flight delays are worsening at airports across the country. Every day this continues, the damage gets worse.

There is strong bipartisan support in Congress to address the ACA tax credits. But first, the government needs to reopen. I respectfully ask that you act now.

Please bring forward a bill that mirrors the Senate agreement and ends this shutdown.
